Gerflor Mipolam · Healthcare vinyl

Floors for hospitals, laboratories & operating rooms

Homogeneous Gerflor vinyl, hot-welded into one seamless, coved surface with no joints where dirt or bacteria can collect. Most of the range carries Evercare, Gerflor's patented surface treatment, so the floor resists hospital chemicals and never needs wax.

Patented Gerflor technology

Evercare surface treatment

Evercare is a coating cross-linked by UV laser during manufacture. It forms an even layer over the whole surface, so liquids and chemicals stay on top of the floor instead of soaking in. Spills of Betadine, eosin or marker wipe off with a neutral detergent.

  • 100% non-porous. A water-repellent barrier against stains and the chemicals used in healthcare: alcohol, acids, alkalis, surgical reagents and disinfectants.
  • No wax for life. No polish or emulsion is ever needed, so there is no stripping and re-coating, and no downtime for the ward.
  • Even thickness. Cross-sections show a continuous layer on Gerflor, where other treated floors show gaps and uneven thickness.
  • Holds up to traffic. Resists heavy traffic and micro-scratches, and the colour stays bright.

A sealed room, floor to wall

  • Coved skirting and Clean Corner System. The floor turns up the wall with moulded corners, so there is no edge where particles or bacteria can settle.
  • Hot-welded seams. Every joint is welded with a matching Gerflor rod into one watertight surface.
  • Wall protection and handrails. Mural Plus and Decochoc wall sheets, Linea'Punch bumpers and Linea'Touch handrails from the same supplier.
  • Correct care from day one. Damp mop with a neutral cleaner, no emulsion. We supply Diversey floor-care products and TASKI machines and train your cleaning team.

Before laying, the vinyl acclimatises for 24 hours at 18–24 °C on a smooth, dry subfloor with a damp-proof membrane where needed. Keep rubber-backed mats and rubber chair feet off vinyl, as rubber leaves permanent stains.
